Trained & Experienced
I am a Certified Professional Inspector (CPI®) trained by InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors —the world's largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors that provides education, training, and certification.
All InterNACHI-Certified Professional Inspectors must pass an Inspector Exam, follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, abide by a strict Code of Ethics, and take accredited Continuing Education courses each year to maintain their membership in good standing.
In order to become certified, I was required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the standard and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. We show you the true condition of your home by using a well-trained inspector with the best inspection software, a high-quality camera, and thermal imagining on every inspection.
Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because an inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be evident to you. Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

About Me
Hello, my name is Charles Christmas. I am the owner of Hound Dog Home Inspections. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, I found a life passion in construction. Now I have my new passion for protecting home buyers. My family has made Asheville our home, so I am committed to protecting my neighbors. During my inspections, I follow comprehensive Residential Standards of Practice. This means that I’ll inspect the visible and accessible structure, systems, and components of the home, inside and out, from the foundation to the roof, using the latest tools, detailed photos, and thermal imaging. I enjoy teaching my neighbors how their home works and how to maintain them for years to come. Welcome to the neighborhood!
